Day 57! 8 Weeks!

Well here's a shot of my 8 week celebration birthday cake... baked by Mommy's Aunt Linda and cousin Alyssa. Looks yummy doesn't it? You should have seen my brothers bouncing off the walls after they chowed it down! :)
Last night I slept in Mommy and Daddy's bed with Mommy for the first time while Daddy camped out on my bed on the couch. Daddy was concerned about Mommy sleeping on the couch with me all the time because of her back so he made us take the bed. It was a little cold and dark but otherwise pretty comfy!
Ms. Beth came over today to make more memories. Today our whole family colored pictures that we're going to send away and have made into plates for us to keep forever. Jonathan and Daddy made one with all of our faces on it, Joshua made one with a rainbow and stars and me on it, and Mommy made one with all our names on it and things that I like to do. Speaking of things that I can do.. check it out... I learned to pick my nose today!

Mommy took me to JCPenny today to get my picture taken for my 2 month birthday. Everyone there thought that I was a newborn little baby! Mommy had to tell them that I was a big 8 week old boy!

Mommy's Aunt Linda, Uncle Tom and cousin Alyssa came over along with Gramma for my 8 week birthday party. Grampa was stuck at work but came over later on to have personal birthday time with me. I spent most of the time reflecting on my 8 weeks of life... and by this I mean I slept. I definitely awoke when Jonathan decided to pull out his piano to sing happy birthday to me though! It was quite the concert! You can check it out in the video from today! I have the coolest brothers in the whole world. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers ... it's amazing to me to think that people all over the world are following my days and praying for me at all hours of the day! My prayer for you is that my life reflects the love that God has for all of us and that you draw closer to Jesus as a result! Here's a shot of me praying for you!

I've been reading your blog for awhile now and think your family is amazing. I was wondering if there is a website for the plate project you did. I think that is a great idea.

Precious Jacob - Just as the beautiful song says "I am Yours..." - you are a beloved child of God, just like your brothers, parents and so many others of us. God does "care to know your name" and everything about you. You are an amazing gift, and I rejoice with your family as you continue to thrive. I hope you get a taste of cake - maybe even an M&M! With love, Lynne B.
